Life Changing literally !
I'm not too sure who will be interested but :-
I had my accident on the 12th of May way back in 2001. I had a girlfriend on the back. Which is why, as she “hated being on the bloody thing”, I know I ! wasn't doing out wrong. Seeing as how I was out cold spending the next 2 weeks in a coma, followed by a whole year in a rehab hospital, I can't remember the first thing about it. Consequently I was in no fit state to start defending myself, so the amazing boys in blue, sorry 2 all police readers, just went with the easy option :- “blame the biker”.Anyway I am left in a wheelchair. All of my “difficulties” are as a direct result of the fact that I banged my head on her car roof. It has left me as a stroke victim. I now have very limited use of all my right side. Infact I am having to key all of this with my left hand, being naturally right handed for the first forty years of my life. This, coupled with my sight problems being :- I now have double vision and need glasses. Although the weirdest of my disabilities, which is why I can't drive/ride, is that my eyes close about every 2 minutes and I then struggle for a further 5 to 10 seconds to re-open them again. All in all pretty grim really. Although I have to say thankfully, or at least I think thankfully ????, I have “escaped”, not the best of words, without any mental issues. Right the accident :-I was traveling along the road, me lord , and somehow I managed 2 hit a car traveling in the opposite direction. Although what is really hard for me 2 get my head round is that I was actually taking a left bend, so surely I would of been no where near her, unless she was on the wrong side of the road . A friend went to look where I had the accident and the lady who lived in the house opposite came out. She got talking to my friend and did say that the lady, who's car I hit, did move it before the police arrived, illegibly ! . Justine, who has not only stayed with me but has also agreed to marry me !, broke her right theima, leg, and although I had purchased her a quality Arai helmet she somehow managed to break her jaw, in 3 places ! Thankfully though she is almost back to normal. As she disliked being on the bike, her head was tucked up behind me so she didn't see anything. If I had been out on my own and on 1 I would be the first to hold my hand up and say it cud have, POSSIBLY, been my fault, but NEVER with Justine on the back ! Such is life !
Well that'll do, RANT OVER ! Thanks for reading.
